Wrap it up

One of the best parts about dental school is the month of September.  Although Dental Board Examinations are taken the students have the whole month off of school.  Also, September is the best month of the year in Oregon.  Guaranteed good weather.  Beautiful, beautiful days.   Harvest of everything delicious.  And, everyone else has gone back to school.  Which makes for non-crowded beaches, campsites, parks, and swimming.  

Our September highlights included:

Zoo trips

Honeyman state park family campout (sand dunes for miles!  best 45 minutes of the whole year were spent atop a sand dune with my little family.  We were the only people there.  The sky was beautifully clear and you could see for miles with a full view of the ocean.  We climbed and jumped and rolled down the dunes to our hearts content.  It was a heavenly time. Absolutely perfect.  And no camera to document it, but that almost made it better.)

September was great.  And the 6 week break will be greatly missed when next September rolls around.  But it will be the ONLY thing I miss about Dental School.  (Aside from Portland and our friends (of course!))
