One of the greatest parts about marriage is joining with another family. Another family that has aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. My kids (when they came along) instantly had 15 cousins. It was great!
One of Stevenson's cousins happens to live within driving distance of Portland. We love our Keech cousins and enjoy seeing them whenever they have business (or fun) in Portland. Recently Sonja decided to start getting into running and chose a 5K near Portland that we could run in together. It helped motivate me to run a little more and we did it- even if it was the worst 5K course ever- uphill through neighborhoods for 3/4 of the way and then one long, straight downhill to the end. I told Sonja that if she could do that she could definitely do more in the future.
Anyway, thanks Panthers for having a 5K so we could get together with our cousins.
