Lest the previous post left you worried about the Smiths, rest assured that although it was a busy, stressful, and mostly un-fun time, we did manage to do some fun things. We also came across this song, Hey Now, Hey Now, which is currently featured here on our blog, one night when we were finishing up the trim around the front room. It has been crowned the Smith family song of summer 2009. Helping us to remember to not "dream it's over" even when it is not fun. Becuase really, what could be better than going through it with an awesome husband and the cutest, best-behaved toddler in the world?
Here is Stevenson with his dental buddies in their white coats. We got to have Linda and Steve in town for the event and Steve was even able to present Stevenson with his coat!

Spencer was so lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa in town to play with him and give him much needed attention. His favorite thing about the white coat ceremony was the fireplace.
Something else we did this month was volunteer with our stake, along with the other stakes in Oregon, in celebration of Oregons 150 years. Each stake volunteered on July 25th in their community. We helped with a family 5k being held at a community park.

We also did a fair amount of swimming and popsicle eating during the record breaking heat week Portland experienced. Might I add that one week later it is cold?!?

When looking at the picture of all the guys in their white coats, I am forced to ask myself this question: Which one of those guys looks like a polygamist contemporary of Brigham Young? There's only one right answer.
By the way, are you three going to be at Andrea's wedding reception? If so we'll see you there!
